Job Description

Join Emirates Engineering, a GCAA CAR V-approved maintenance facility supporting Emirates’ Airbus and Boeing fleet, as well as third-party airlines.

As a Workshop Technician (Wheels & Brakes), you will perform maintenance, calibration, and approved structural repairs on aircraft components, tools, and equipment. You will work under the guidance of supervisors and engineers, following company procedures and international aviation regulations, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine component/tool servicing, calibration, maintenance, modification, or approved structural repairs.

Complete tasks using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), and other approved documentation.

Assist supervisors/engineers with troubleshooting, defect rectifications, and modifications.

Maintain clean work locations and promote a safety-first culture.

Ensure prompt completion of tasks to reduce turnaround time (TAT) and prevent operational delays.

Communicate defects or issues to supervisors/engineers and handover information clearly during shift changes.

Perform testing, verifications, and services required for overhaul, repair, refurbishment, inspection, and calibration tasks.

Operate shop equipment safely, including motorized lifters and overhead cranes.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain vigilance to prevent FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and workplace hazards.

Requirements

Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronics, or Technical Engineering OR Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License OR Engineering Apprenticeship.

5+ years post-qualification experience in aviation; minimum 2 years in a workshop environment (e.g., Wheels & Brakes, Avionics, Cabin, Structures, Calibration, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fuel & Oil, Landing Gear).

Knowledge of special procedures for Wheel & Brake shop (e.g., plastic media blasting, shot peening, paint touch-up).

Familiarity with motorized shop equipment (lifters, overhead cranes).

Full understanding of air legislation and legal regulations related to aircraft maintenance.

Ability to follow manuals and standard procedures accurately.
