Regional Catering Operations Manager
Job Description
Join the Catering team at The Emirates Group and play a key role in delivering the world-class “Fly Better” experience. The team manages all aspects of in-flight dining and catering operations, including food and beverage, equipment, amenities, and special events.
As Regional Catering Operations Manager, you will oversee regional catering operations across multiple international locations, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and service. You will work closely with Emirates’ global catering providers to maintain operational excellence and align regional menus with Emirates’ in-flight dining vision.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement catering operations standards, procedures, and SLAs with regional service providers.
Manage food & beverage, flight handling, stock management, and third-party suppliers within approved budgets.
Monitor regional performance of service providers and conduct compliance audits.
Support menu design, trials of new F&B concepts, and special promotions.
Collaborate with Finance and Procurement for cost validation, negotiations, and accurate invoicing.
Lead vendor selection, manage catering contracts, and maintain supplier relationships.
Manage, develop, and mentor the regional catering team, focusing on capability building, performance management, and succession planning.
Requirements
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Culinary Arts, F&B Management, or equivalent food safety certification.
8+ years of experience in In-Flight Service or Catering.
Minimum 3 years in an airline catering environment; 5 years in operational management within airline catering.
Strong knowledge of global food trends, food production, safety, and distribution.
Experience in contract management and supplier operations.
Ability to adapt to diverse cultural and operational environments.
Proven leadership skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
Excellent communication, initiative, and self-motivation skills.
