TikTok is currently seeking a Project Operations Intern to support the EU TikTok Shop LIVE Central Team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to marketplace operations, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Interns will work on impactful projects that focus on improving merchant experience, supporting governance operations, and analyzing traffic and performance data. This role is ideal for detail-oriented and analytical individuals who want to gain practical experience in a fast-paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Governance Operations & Quality Improvement
Collect and organize LIVE governance violation cases such as account suspensions, restrictions, and review errors.
Build structured case libraries to support improved review consistency and operational quality.
Identify recurring patterns and high-risk scenarios and provide actionable insights to enhance decision-making.
Support escalation processes and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
Merchant Experience Improvement
Assist in developing playbooks, FAQs, and operational guidance to help merchants better understand governance processes.
Monitor merchant feedback and identify recurring issues affecting user experience.
Translate merchant concerns into structured problem statements and propose improvement strategies.
Traffic & Performance Diagnostics
Conduct analysis of livestream traffic metrics and performance signals using operational data.
Investigate unusual traffic patterns and support root-cause analysis related to governance, product features, or algorithm changes.
Prepare case studies and reports that support operational improvements and business decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with teams including policy, product, moderation, and algorithm specialists.
Support project documentation and progress tracking for operational initiatives.
Communicate insights and updates clearly through reports, meeting notes, and presentations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail with the ability to structure complex information.
Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and tracking metrics.
Strong written communication skills in English, with the ability to summarize complex cases clearly.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong organization and documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Data Studio.
Previous exposure to Trust & Safety, governance operations, marketplace platforms, or moderation systems.
Understanding of e-commerce, livestream commerce, or digital marketplace ecosystems.
Interest in identifying fraud patterns, governance risks, and operational improvements.
