Key Responsibilities

Craft compelling content including blog posts, media pitches, fact sheets, social media copy, and launch materials to communicate TikTok’s trust and safety initiatives.

Develop and execute global campaigns that enhance trust in TikTok’s platform integrity, privacy, and security efforts.

Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets, handling reactive communications and securing proactive coverage.

Collaborate closely with Public Policy, Trust & Safety, Legal, and other internal teams to identify opportunities for positive storytelling.

Monitor industry and platform trends, understanding how safety, privacy, and integrity issues are perceived by media, policymakers, NGOs, and academics.

Train and advise spokespeople for media interviews, presentations, and press events.

Support flexible working hours and travel as required to assist the team in global initiatives

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.

4+ years of professional communications or PR experience, preferably in public policy, trust & safety, or technology communications.

Proven experience pitching to media and managing reactive communications independently.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional storytelling ability.

Understanding of the technology sector and societal impacts, including safety and civility issues.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.
