About Our Client
Our client is a leading general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality MTA construction projects across New York City. Their work typically ranges from $50M to $100M+ and consists of complex, multi-year infrastructure builds.Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Project Manager with an active PE license to take ownership of major transit-focused civil projects. This is a long-term opportunity with a clear path toward senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Job Description
Manage daily execution of large-scale MTA construction projects from start to finish
Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management
Lead coordination between field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Ensure all work aligns with engineering standards and PE requirements
Monitor and enforce safety regulations and project compliance standards
Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews to ensure quality and schedule adherence
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, agencies, and clients
Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely procurement of materials
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reporting, and cost tracking
Proactively resolve project challenges and mitigate risks

Requirements
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Project Engineer Should Have
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
Strong experience managing large-scale civil or infrastructure projects
Experience working on MTA, transit, or public agency projects preferred
Deep understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and compliance
Ability to manage multiple project stakeholders and drive timelines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proven problem-solving ability in complex field environments
Proficiency with construction software (Procore, P6, etc.) preferred
Commitment to quality, safety, and project delivery excellence
