Job Description
An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Data / Analytics Engineer to join a fast-growing, product-led technology company based in London. This is a 6-month contract role within a dynamic Analytics function, focused on building scalable, data-driven solutions to support People and workforce decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support People Analytics use cases.
Develop robust data models and schemas integrating HRIS, ATS, learning platforms, engagement tools, and other workforce systems.
Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and security across sensitive HR datasets.
Implement automated testing, monitoring, and performance optimisation for data pipelines.
Collaborate with the People team to translate business questions into technical data solutions.
Build self-service dashboards and reporting in tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
Create standardised KPI frameworks covering hiring, retention, headcount, performance, compensation, and DEI metrics.
Support workforce planning models and scenario forecasting.
Partner with Data Engineering, Finance, Legal, and other teams on shared data initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and best-practice guidance on People data infrastructure.
Communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
Essential: Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or BI Engineer.
Advanced SQL skills and deep expertise in modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
Experience building production-grade pipelines using tools such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
Experience integrating data from HRIS and talent systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, Greenhouse, Lever, HiBob, Personio).
Understanding of GDPR compliance and secure handling of sensitive workforce data.
Exposure to Python for automation, orchestration, or testing.
Experience developing People Analytics dashboards and workforce data models.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Knowledge of workforce planning, talent analytics, or People Operations data is highly desirable.
