Key Responsibilities
Successfully complete all academic and flight training phases
Demonstrate strong performance in ground school subjects including aviation theory and aircraft systems
Accumulate required flying hours through simulator and live flight training
Maintain high standards of discipline, professionalism, and teamwork
Meet all medical and regulatory requirements set by aviation authorities
Progress through type rating and line training on widebody aircraft
Uphold the values and standards of Emirates as a future aviation leaderProgramme Structure
Phase 1 – Ground School (Approx. 12 Months)
Advanced theoretical training using state-of-the-art technology and VR systems at EFTA.
Phase 2 – Flight Training (Approx. 12 Months)
Completion of approximately 274 hours of flight and simulator training. Graduates earn:
Commercial Pilot Licence (Frozen ATPL)
Multi-Instrument Rating (CPL/Multi IR)
Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) Certificate
Jet Orientation Course Certification
Phase 3 – Type Rating (Approx. 3 Months)
Aircraft conversion and type rating at Emirates Training College.
Phase 4 – Line Training (Approx. 8 Months)
Operational line training on Emirates widebody aircraft, leading to a Frozen ATPL approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority.
First Officer
Upon successful completion, you will officially serve as a First Officer flying to 140+ global destinations.
Requirements
General Eligibility
Must be a UAE National holding a valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid
Completion of National Service (mandatory)
Minimum height: 160 cm
Medically fit with BMI of 29 or below
Strong academic performance and leadership potential
High School Graduates (Scientific Stream Only)
Age: 18–21 years
Minimum 80% overall score
Background in Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics
IELTS 6.0 (minimum 5.5 per band) or TOEFL PBT 510 / IBT equivalent
Degree Holders (Diploma & Above)
Age: 22–26 years
Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Scientific or Engineering major
IELTS 6.0 (minimum 5.5 per band) or TOEFL PBT 510 / IBT equivalent
