Technical Product Owner – dnata Cargo
Job Description
Join Emirates Group IT as a Technical Product Owner (TPO) – dnata Cargo, leading technology products and applications for cargo operations. The TPO manages team backlogs, ensures alignment with business objectives, and acts as the voice of the customer while collaborating with engineering teams to deliver solutions from concept to operations.
Key Responsibilities
Own team backlogs across features, functions, non-functional requirements, BAU, technical debt, and spikes.
Define story content, acceptance criteria, and perform end-of-story sign-off.
Capture, refine, and prioritize Technical Debt and NFRs across sprints.
Incorporate additional BAU, ceremony, and spike activities into team backlogs.
Maintain feature quality and integrity within technical and team boundaries.
Attend and contribute to Product Management meetings, including PI Planning.
Define metrics to measure success and performance of prioritised work.
Establish and grow the Product Owner community, driving collaboration, improvement, and best practices.
Capture and consolidate team-driven innovation ideas for wider community playback.
Requirements
Education: Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
Experience: 5+ years in IT, Information Systems, Operations Research, Marketing Science, e-Commerce, or relevant certifications.
Skills & Certifications:
Global Product certifications: CSPO, SAFe, PSPO.
2+ years as a Product Owner/Manager in a team-facing capacity.
Experience in Scaled Agile frameworks is beneficial.
Technical/domain expertise in Air Cargo / Ground Handling.
Hands-on experience with AI solutions is a plus.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Customer-centric mindset with a focus on building value.
