Engineer Flight Simulators
Job Description
Join Emirates Flight Training Facilities, offering world-class simulators and training programs for Airbus and Boeing fleet crews.
As an Engineer – Flight Simulator, you will provide engineering support for flight training, cabin crew training, and in-flight services training devices. You will perform complex fault rectification, maintain hardware/software fidelity, and ensure high-performance simulation within time and regulatory constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Resolve defects on training devices using engineering principles while following safety and department procedures.
Prepare simulators for training sessions, attend feedback sessions, and minimise unscheduled downtime.
Maintain hardware and software configurations to ensure integrity and fidelity of devices.
Plan, propose, and execute cost-effective solutions to technical problems.
Perform objective and subjective testing, identify, record, and resolve performance deficiencies.
Conduct scheduled maintenance and document all tasks, including parts usage and shortages.
Lead technicians in complex mechanical/electrical repairs and overhauls.
Conduct shift handovers to ensure work continuity.
Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders for defect resolution and updates.
Support acquisition and acceptance of new training devices and regulatory authority simulator qualifications.
Provide training for colleagues and maintain personal skills through formal and on-the-job learning.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years in flight operations, 2+ years in simulation/training equipment.
Education: Degree in Engineering (preferably Aeronautical), or equivalent proven experience with relevant certifications.
Ability to work in medium to large technical organizations.
Competent in producing results in multidisciplinary environments following regulatory and organizational standards.
Technically aware, with strong team development and collaboration skills.
