Manager – Learning & Development – E Commerce
Job Description
The Manager – Learning & Development for UAE eCommerce at Majid Al Futtaim Retail leads the training and development function for over 4,000 fulfillment pickers and last-mile drivers. This role ensures operational excellence and workforce capability by delivering effective onboarding, continuous microlearning, and scalable training content. You will bridge operational requirements with learning strategies, ensuring employees master processes, systems, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design role-specific learning paths for pickers, drivers, and supervisors
Deliver classroom and online onboarding programs for all new hires
Ensure mastery of software systems like Wings (Last Mile) and Alecto (Fulfillment)
Communicate SOPs, best practices, and customer satisfaction standards
Deploy weekly microlearning modules via platforms such as Axonify or EdApp
Develop bite-sized training content on soft skills, operational excellence, safety, and software updates
Establish training effectiveness metrics (completion rates, assessment scores, time-to-proficiency)
Link training outcomes to operational KPIs such as order accuracy, delivery timeliness, and picking speed
Create scalable, modular content in video, interactive modules, job aids, and simulations
Manage content updates across all platforms, ensuring availability in English and Arabic
Conduct coaching sessions for instructional delivery and adult learning principles
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or related field
5+ years of experience in training/L&D within retail, eCommerce, logistics, or fast-paced operations
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and microlearning platforms (Axonify, EdApp, or similar)
Familiarity with operational training for fulfillment, warehouse, or last-mile delivery
Strong organizational, communication, and coaching skills
