Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Internal Auditor to execute audit assignments in line with the approved internal audit plan and prepare audit reports in accordance with professional standards.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening governance, enhancing risk management frameworks, and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain positive working relationships with audit clients and escalate key issues to Internal Audit Management
Participate in internal audit initiatives and advisory projects
Execute audit assignments in line with approved methodology and budgets
Utilize data analytics tools to assess processes and document findings in audit work papers
Monitor and follow up on management action plans and outstanding audit findings
Identify, assess, and evaluate key risks and internal controls
Contribute to process improvement and control enhancement initiatives
Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and professional audit standards
Continuously seek professional development opportunities and apply corporate governance policies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline)
Working towards or partially completed professional certification (e.g., CIA, ACCA, CPA, CISA or similar)
Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in audit or related field
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong quality focus and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and under pressure
