Job Description
Majid Al Futtaim Retail is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Manager – Learning & Development to lead career progression and behavioral development initiatives across UAE operations.
Based at the Regional Business Services (RBS) office in Ibn Battuta, this role serves as the operational engine behind leadership development tracks, ensuring high-impact delivery of both technical retail capabilities and “Power Skills” across Store Operations and Head Office.
You will act as the key connector between Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Store Operations, Emiratisation, and Global Solutions (GS), ensuring training aligns with real business needs and company strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Flawless Leadership Pipeline Execution
Lead end-to-end rollout of development tracks for Team Leaders, Department Heads, and Store Managers
Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all UAE retail units
Continuous Content Evolution
Conduct annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
Collaborate with SMEs to update programs aligned with store reality and business strategy
Talent-to-Value Focus
Partner with Store Managers to identify high-potential talent
Ensure training investments target segments driving business growth
Head Office Integration
Identify behavioral capability gaps within HO
Deliver targeted professional development programs
Strategic Liaison (Global Solutions – GS)
Coordinate and deliver “Power Skills” workshops (Leadership Presence, Critical Thinking, Emotional Intelligence)
Stakeholder Diplomacy
Act as ambassador for RBS to Store Managers & Regional Directors
Communicate the learning journey’s “Big Picture” to ensure engagement
Emiratisation Collaboration
Support UAE National development tracks
Ensure structured, on-schedule career progression pathways
Operational Leadership
Lead and mentor Associate Manager L&D
Oversee scheduling, facilitator coordination, and logistics execution
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR, Training, or related field (preferred)
5+ years’ experience in L&D or Training Operations (retail/high-volume environment preferred)
2+ years’ leadership experience managing direct reports
Proven experience coordinating between SMEs and operational teams
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Strategic mindset with operational execution excellence
