Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef (Western Cuisine) to join Kaleidoscope at Atlantis, The Palm. In this role, you will support the Chef de Cuisine in managing daily kitchen operations while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and service excellence.
You will play a leadership role in supervising kitchen staff, maintaining consistency in food preparation, and delivering an exceptional culinary experience to guests from around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing kitchen operations
Lead and supervise the Western cuisine section
Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation
Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards
Manage stock levels and kitchen supplies efficiently
Coordinate effectively with other departments
Train and mentor kitchen staff
Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Motivate team members to deliver top-level performance
Requirements
Diploma in Catering OR minimum 5 years of experience in a 5-star international hotel chain
1–2 years’ experience in a similar Sous Chef position
Strong knowledge of Western cuisine
Leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
